15 Steps to a Clutter Free Home

It's time to get into the habit of letting go of excess stuff, rather than seeing a place to stuff it. Having to walk nearby stuff or over stuff does not make for a peaceful living environment. Let's go room by room and take care of some of the most common clutter problems.

1.) Kitchen: ask yourself what items do I use daily?

These items truly deserve the primetime space in your kitchen. They should be within arms reach in the best location available. Watch out for space hogs in the kitchen such as multiple coffee mugs, plastic bags and cleaning products.

2.) Next ask yourself how many of each of these items you need to have a uncostly estimate on hand.

Do you have 6 of something but only use one. This is a common problem. Setting limits will help you contend an organized kitchen easily. Any broken, stained or chipped items need to go.

3.) Donate or discard your extra items, or in the case of glasses or dishes store them in long term storage until needed.

Otherwise decorations in moderation should be on the walls to save requisite real estate in the kitchen.

5.) Discourage paper piles from forming by creating a Raf file or as some people call it an action file.

A Raf file can be anything that can hold 3 files or folders. Raf stands for read, act, and file. As paper comes into your house you need to use your Raf file to place each piece whether in to read, to act (meaning you need to do an action) or to file. Each piece of paper you save is foremost for one intuit or other so you need to be able to find it quickly. Then of common there is the trashcan, use it regularly. You can also set up binders with clear plastic pages for things like receipts, recipes, take out menus, school information and frequently called numbers.

6.) Clean off your fridge!

Scale down or eliminate old refrigerator magnets or at least move them to one side. Clear everything off the front, put foremost items such as take out menus in a binder or in your Raf file. Your nightstand should be clear except for reading glasses (if you need them), a book or magazine (just one, not a pile), alarm clock and maybe some tissues. Start by clearing the room of all excess stuff, only put back those items that promote peace and rest. Donate or store extra items elsewhere.

14.) Remember the one in one out rule.

Once you have your house down to where it looks and feels good for every new item that you collect you will need to donate, sell or give away one item. One for one, it's the only way to contend the balance that you have achieved.

Pervasive Computing

Pervasive computing is the trend towards increasingly ubiquitous (another name for the movement is ubiquitous computing), linked computing devices in the environment, a trend being brought about by a convergence of developed electronic - and particularly, wireless - technologies and the Internet. Pervasive computing devices are not personal computers as we tend to think of them, but very tiny - even invisible - devices, whether mobile or embedded in approximately any type of object imaginable, along with cars, tools, appliances, clothing and discrete consumer goods - all communicating straight through increasingly interconnected networks.

Modern devices that may serve the ubiquitous computing model contain mobile phones, digital audio players, radio-frequency identification tags and interactive whiteboards. Rv Tip: Troubleshooting a 12-volt Dc question

If you enjoy Rvs you already know that a major part of the fun with Rving is getting away from everything. You can just pack up the Rv and head out to get some well deserved rest and leisure without having to deal with the hassles of day-to-day living. These restful, relaxing, memory production Rv trips should not be jeopardized by something as uncomplicated as a 12-volt electrical qoute ruining your vacation.

If you've been Rving for any number of time you are already aware that a good measure of the devices and accessories in your Rv operate off of 12-volt Dc power. 12-volt Dc or Direct Current is electricity supplied by the Rv batteries. Dc electricity flows in one direction, from negative to positive. 12-Vdc electricity is stored in the Rv batteries and supplies power for components, devices and appliances that operate off of 12-volts.

These 12-volt devices include overhead lights, the water pump, vent fans, furnace fan, range hood fan, Lp gas leak detectors, stereos, 12-volt Tvs and the refrigerator when it's operating in the Lp gas mode. When you go camping you rely on these 12-volt items to operate properly, especially if you're dry camping without hook-ups. So what do you do when one of these 12-volt items quit working?

For the sake of an example let's say that we are dry camping and our 12-volt water pump quits working.

I am convinced that just about anybody is capable of troubleshooting a 12-Vdc problem, and in many cases repairing the qoute without it ruining your camping trip. For starters you will need a concentrate of uncomplicated tools to aid you in troubleshooting your Rv's 12-volt electrical system.

1). An inexpensive 12-volt test light.

2). A multi-meter that can test for Dc power.

Both of these are ready at local auto parts stores. You should also keep some electrical tape, varied size wire nuts, 12-volt light bulbs and 12-volt fuses on hand. Check the amperage of the fuses used in the power distribution box and keep an assortment. If you're aware of any inline fuses used on any of the 12-volt devices keep these on hand too.

Now, try to determine the last time the water pump genuinely worked. Did you leave the Rv for a duration of time with the pump on? Is there water in the fresh water retention tank? Were you working on or colse to something else that could have affected the performance of the water pump? Try to think of all potential scenarios. Something might jar your memory resulting in a quick fix to the problem.

If not, the first step is to verify that the coach battery or batteries are charged adequate to contribute power to these 12-volt items. There are a concentrate of ways to perform a quick test on the coach batteries. You can use the monitor panel to check the condition of the coach batteries. To get an spoton reading make sure the Rv is not plugged into electricity and turn on a concentrate of overhead lights to place a small load on the battery. Check the reading at the monitor panel. (If you check the reading at the monitor panel when the Rv is plugged in to electricity it will give you fully charged reading) A more spoton method is to test the battery with a multi-meter. Set the meter to read 12-Vdc and place the negative test probe on the negative battery terminal and the sure test probe on the sure battery terminal. A fully charged battery will read in the range of 12.6 to 12.7 volts. If it reads less than 12-volts it is below a 50% state of fee and will need to be charged.

If the battery is fully charged, the next step is to make sure that any battery disconnect switch for the coach battery is turned on. If the battery disconnect switch is on, verify that other 12-volt devices in the Rv are operating properly. If there is 12-volt power to the interior of the Rv you need to check the fuse for the water pump in the power distribution center. determine which fuse is for the water pump (fuses are regularly labeled) and find a favorable ground for the 12-volt test light. Test both sides of the fuse for 12-volt power. If the test light only lights on one side of the fuse replace it with the proper size fuse and try the water pump again. If there was power at both sides of the fuse check for 12-volts at the water pump switch. If there is voltage, and the switch is operating properly check the water pump wiring for an inline fuse.

Find a good ground for the 12-volt test light and probe the wire on both sides of the fuse. If there is only power on one side of the fuse replace it with the proper size fuse and test the pump again. If there is power on both sides of the fuse check the water pump wiring connections at the wire nuts. It's potential for connections to come loose due to immoderate vibration. spoton any loose connections and try the pump again. If the pump still doesn't work feel the motor to see if it is hot to the touch. If the motor is hot, a thermal breaker may have been triggered. Allow the pump time to cool off and see if it re-sets itself.

If you perfect all of these tests and there is 12-volt Dc power coming to the water pump motor, and it still doesn't come on, chances are the water pump is bad and it will need to be replaced.

Troubleshooting a 12-volt electrical qoute in your Rv is not that difficult. Succeed the logical path of the expedient you are troubleshooting and see if you can determine where the qoute is. It might be potential for you to save your well deserved vacation, some money and a trip to the Rv dealership too.

How to Harvest and Store Celeriac

Celeriac has been grown into a large root that has a size of a soft and small ball. It is a rough and brownish covering herb that has small roots around. Leaves of this plant are so bitter that they can plainly be removed or sometimes used in soups. Most often celeriac roots are tender and firm. For this plant water is very requisite especially in those areas where climate is so dry. Once the plant is firmly established, water requirement decreases. Moreover, if the introductory soil conditions are convenient and correct, the roots can grow in a better way. In the month of July and August, sometime it happens that side shoots also start to grow. These shoots hinder the normal growth of celeriac roots. So, these must be eliminated just after their birth. Furthermore, it is better to cover those parts of the roots that are above the ground. This can be done with the help of soil. This will help to keep the roots whiter and healthier for a long time.

Celeriac can be stored just after its harvest. This herb is ready for harvest process in the month of September. Hard frost is damaging for celery. However, they can go with light frost. It is better to have hay or straw boundary nearby the plant. This will contribute insulation to it. In case plant is damaged by hard frost, it is better to lift it immediately. Cut the tips and keep it in containers or boxes. Keep these boxes in a cool place or in a shed. If you want to use celeriac for a long period, it is requisite to store and treat it properly. Literal, storehouse can make it inherent to use celeriac until March. At home this can be stored truly in refrigerators. Wrap the roots properly in aluminum foil and keep in freezer. This may lasts for weeks or months.
