Freezer Coleslaw (Easy Recipe)

You can serve this formula without icy the coleslaw -- or you can make it up ahead of time (such as before Thanksgiving or Christmas dinner) and store it in the refrigerator or the freezer until you're ready to use it.

o 1 medium head of cabbage Or 2 to 3 packages of shredded cabbage (ever since I scraped my knuckles raw grating cabbage for 150 people for a church dinner, I have favorite to use the shredded cabbage you can buy at the grocery store )

Refrigerator Side By Side

o 3 sticks of celery chopped

o 1 teaspoon of celery seed

o 1/2 green pepper chopped (optional)

Boil the following for 1 minute:

1/2 cup white vinegar

1/2 cup water

2 cups sugar

1/4 teaspoon salt

Then:

Pour over the cabbage, celery and green pepper mixture. (If it seems like it's way too soupy, which will depend a lot upon the moisture article of the cabbage you're using, add the third container of shredded cabbage. If you're going to freeze it, however, you do want the coleslaw to be covered with liquid.)

At this point, you can let the coleslaw sit in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 hours or overnight and serve, or you can put it into containers and freeze. The coleslaw will keep in the refrigerator for 1 to 2 weeks.

Note: this formula works very well for red cabbage, which makes a pretty side dish.

Replacing Your Water Filter

For side-by-side refrigerators with filter access in the base grille, follow these instructions for replacing your filter:

1. Push the eject button, then pull the filter cap. Do not twist cap.
2. Remove the filter cap by turning it counter clockwise. Set aside cap. Discard old filter.
3. Remove the packaging and O-ring covers from the new filter.
4. Align arrows on the cap and new filter. Turn clockwise to snap in place.
5. Push filter into the base grill until the eject button pops. Gently tug on cap to ensure it is snug.
6. Flush the water system until a total of 3 gallons (12 L) has been dispensed.

De Dietrich: press and hold the Reset Filter button for 5 seconds.

Gaggenau: press and hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds until the yellow/red light goes out.

Ge: press and hold the Reset Water Filter button on the dispenser for 3 seconds.

Haier: press Reset button.

KitchenAid: press and hold Filter Reset button for 3 seconds until the Order or Replace light turns off.

Maytag: Press Options, then Water Filter, then Reset, and then Yes. The status light will turn from red to green when the system is reset. Or press and hold the Filter Reset button for 3 seconds.

Samsung: press the Ice type and Child lock (or Moisture Control) buttons simultaneously for 3 seconds. Note: Hold the buttons for only 3 seconds. If you press these 2 buttons simultaneously for 5 seconds, the reset function ceases. publish the buttons and repeat the same step one more time. The water filter indicator light should turn green.

Smeg: press and hold the Ok button until the three dashes reappear on the display. Or, press and hold the Reset Water Filter button for 5 seconds.
